Thanksgiving Blessings To All!

Hello faithful readers!

It’s been a busy time around the Big Blue House. Well, honestly, when is it not? I’ve been working on Angels Unaware, and I’m so excited about it! I just love this story. I also have the perfect cover art for it. Now, if you’ve been with me a while you know that I was searching high and low for the owner of that fabulous angel graphic. Unfortunately, I am unable to locate them. But, a dear friend of mine took a magnificent shot of a church roof, with clouds and…well, you’ll see when I get my cover mocked up.

One reason I am so in love with this particular story is that I feel it really shows why faith in Jesus is so very important. I’m not a big evangelist in person. In fact, I get a bit shy about talking about faith. However, the Lord has given me this gift of writing, and I can express it there.

Another reason is this story was the last that my sweet friend Sandy proofread for me. We unexpectedly lost Sandy in August 2015. But, as you know, if you’ve been around me a while, nothing is unexpected to our Great Heavenly Father. She encouraged me, supported me, listened to me rant about everything and nothing. I miss her very much, as do many others. She was “one of those people,” one who made everyone feel as though they were her best good friend. This is her book. If you frequent my Facebook page, you probably saw this post:

SandySo. Funny story that my sweet friend and patient proof-reader Sandy would have gotten a giggle out of. After I designated and signed all my copies, I sat down to savor that moment when all your work pays off…when you actually SEE your baby live on paper. Right there on the very first page of the very first chapter. A huge, glaringly obvious typo. Sandy always reminded me to wait on her; and she always caught even the smallest of errors in the manuscript. Man, I miss her for more than her proofing skills. She always encouraged me to wait on the very best and not to settle for good enough. One day, we’ll laugh over this. Needless to say, the book will be off market for 24 hours. I hope everyone who receives the “Over Confident Author Version” can chuckle too. #bagoverhead #crazyauthor

On December 11, look for Kindle Countdown Deals on all of my books except Seasons of a Life. That will stay at it’s normal $1.99, but you can pick up all 4 books for under $10 for at least 2 days! The Countdown will run until December 18, when the books will return to their regular listed price.

I am thankful for you all, for reading and enjoying my books, for spreading the word about them, for encouragement and support. I hope that you and yours, whoever and wherever they might be, have a blessed Thanksgiving.

Coming Out Of Seclusion…

Wow, has it been that long? Feels like it!

I like the new look of the dashboard here on WordPress, but that’s besides the point. I’ve been working hard in my new position as Children’s Director for my Community Bible Study class, and the Lord very clearly told me to focus on that and lay the writing down a while.

Oh, the agony.

But, since I am almost finished with the main objective (craft preparation, sorting and bagging) I heard a small voice say, “Almost.”

*balloons and confetti are released*

I put down a very important project, and I’m excited to be picking it back up. Karen was most gracious when I told her the book would be delayed till 2015. (really, she was…) In 2 weeks I’ll be at the annual fundraiser she holds, and we’ll be doing some pre-release press. It’s all very exciting. To celebrate, I will have my Lakeville books on Kindle on sale for $0.99 each.

Please hop over to Karens For The Cure and pray about helping this wonderful cause.

Restoration: Completed and Available!

Yes, I am that excited!

If you pre-ordered, your book is on it’s way to me. I’ll be mailing them out on August 9th. You’ll get an email.

If you’d like to purchase the Kindle version, you’ll find it here. Don’t forget you can request an Authorgraph! 😉

Restoration will be available on Amazon in a few days, however, you can order a paper copy from Createspace at this link.

It was a fun journey and I did learn from SIlas and Jude and their tale. Pray always. Let GOD handle the situation. Be willing to listen. Above all, trust Jesus to have the reigns of your life. Now, to implement these truths more deeply into my own life.

Taking a short break, even though my fingers are itchy to start the next project.

Thanks for all your prayers and support and encouragement!

Till Next Time

Let your dreams soar HIGH!!!

Restoration Book Trailer

Sunnie’s Rainbow is NOOK-ified!

Yay!!! More exciting than the Royal Birth, Sunnie’s Rainbow is now available on NOOK!

Okay, maybe not AS exciting. Maybe MORE exciting. Certainly more relevant to my life. 😉 Not that I’m not happy for Kate and Wills, mind. It’s easily as exciting as the release of Seasons of a Life on NOOK.

More excitement here at The Big Blue House: Restoration is 7 chapters away from completion! The cover is done, all I’m waiting on is to click those “upload” buttons!!! I really need to stay away from that until it’s all ready. I get all excited and click when I shouldn’t.

*as an aside, exactly how many times can I use the word “excited” in one post?*

Be keeping an eye on the blog, as I have a terrific (and exciting 😉 ) giveaway planned for August. Oh, now! If I tell you, it won’t be…you know…exciting!

Until next time,

Be Blessed!

Nautical Summer Giveaway from Colleen Coble…

I finished this book in one day…it was a wonderful, suspenseful plot and some nice romance thrown in to enjoy!  From the LitFuse Promo page:

Water can be calming and healing, but it can also be dangerous, as Amy Lange and Curtis Ireland both found out. Both lost their siblings to the sea, and they hope to find healing on Hope Island. But will they find it, or will their quest to find answers set them at odds with each other and with those who have secrets that need to stay hidden?

Find out in Colleen Coble’s latest book, Rosemary Cottage, which released July 9. To celebrate, Colleen is hosting a 12-day Nautical Summer Giveaway. From July 16-27, Colleen will be giving away a new nautical prize every day. She’ll announce the winners on July 29 on her website, so mark your calendars for that date to see if you were picked as a lucky winner!

Restoration Update

We have a completed cover!

Many thanks to all who gave me opinions, helped me find images, fonts and all that other crazy stuff that goes into creating a book’s cover.

We had a small glitch in editing, but we are back on track and the final edits should be complete by the end of the month. As much as I love Silas and Jude, I’m ready for them to be finished so I can move along to the next novel (or at least choose which one).

Keep an eye on the blog and new website! Contests will be appearing! 😉

Till then, be extremely blessed!

Busy Spring/Summer Days! Plus: Freebie Alert!

It’s been busy around the Big Blue House the past few weeks! Still working on those final edits for Restoration, revamping my website, updating the Lakeville store, family visiting and not to mention that the mercurial Colorado weather has turned rather sultry. (Okay, it’s freaking HOT)

What better way to while away a hot day than reading? So, let’s celebrate! Go grab Seasons of a Life free on Wednesday, Thursday, June 13. (TOMORROW!) Please spread the word! It’ll be the last promotion on Kindle. Next week, Seasons will premiere on nook! I’m very excited about that move.

Yes, the editing has hit a small snag (my wonderful editor cousin does have a full time job) but fear not! You’ll soon be enjoying Silas and Jude’s story!

Enjoy your freebie and stay cool!
